Mark is the Vice President of SERVPRO of Edmonton Southside. Mark has been in various roles in Sales and Management since the early 1990s and joined the SERVPRO family as Vice President of Business Development in 2006. He worked closely with Fred Edwards to grow the SERVPRO Cleaning brand in Calgary and eventually Edmonton. When a new partnership was formed with the American disaster restoration franchise system, SERVPRO Industries, Inc., In 2010 Mark was tasked with the challenge of opening the first SERVPRO franchise in Canada, SERVPRO of Edmonton Southside. In 2013 the second location, SERVPRO of Calgary South, opened giving Mark the opportunity to move his family back to Calgary and oversee Alberta operations
Terry Connell is the General Manager of SERVPRO of Edmonton Southside. Combining his insurance and restoration industry experience, Terry has over 50 years of experience in senior management roles. Specifically, he has more than 15 years in restoration, 21 years in claims management and 15 years of experience in corporate risk management. Terry has taken courses in Six Sigma, Lean Management and has successfully completed instructor courses in Front Line Leadership, Working and Quest. He’s known to always be available for questions and holds himself to the highest level of accountability for the quality of work done by everyone on his team.
Mike has over 12 years of experience in cleaning and restoration. He began by cleaning carpets throughout his school years, and has since moved over to the restoration industry, starting as a Crew Chief in Edmonton then becoming a Project Manager, and eventually taking that role back to the Calgary franchise. He has obtained numerous certificates along the way, supplementing his experience with education. Mike was vital in helping to mitigate losses during the 2013 Calgary floods, as well as the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire. Mike is now the Director of Operations for Alberta and oversees both the Edmonton and Calgary SERVPRO franchises.
John has over 12 years of experience in direct onsite project management as a crew chief, emergency manager and senior project manager. He has managed multiple emergency assignments in CAT losses and 35 floors of damages, in a very timely and efficient manner and is very experienced in issues involving asbestos and mold remediation and trauma. A strong team leader, John is known for giving clear direction and has top-notch communication skills with tenants, property managers and adjusters, that enables all parties to accomplish their objectives. He is skilled in job scoping, estimating and reporting and has a lot of experience in time sensitive and political projects.
Misty has more than 10 years of experience in the industry, with her primary focus being mitigation and emergency. Her primary responsibilities are on-site training and safety management. When there are multiple losses, Misty assumes the role of Emergency Coordinator on a 24/7 basis. Misty has the knowledge and experience to fit into any role that we need her to and excel.
